The We’re Good To Go industry standard was developed by VisitEngland with the national tourist organisations of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, with input from industry bodies such as the NCC.
The aim of the consumer mark is to reassures customers that your business adheres to Government and public health guidance – Parkdean Resorts, Hoburne and Away Resorts were among the first to sign up. It is free to join and open to all businesses in the tourism industry – over 40,000 have applied. All signed up businesses can now download a personalised 2021 certificate.
VisitBritain recently undertook a stakeholder review which resulted in a resounding ‘yes’ in favour of continuing the We’re Good To Go scheme. They believe the campaign supports tourism recovery.
In England, your business must align with the UK Government’s official guidance for the sector including ‘Working Safely during COVID-19: Visitor Economy guidance’. You can apply simply by completing a self-assessment through the online platform. Read more about G2G here:
Enhancements are being made to aid signposting back to participating business from their online map, to show customers which businesses have signed up, when lockdown is lifted.
