Two NCC member park businesses have been celebrating national recognition achieved through high profile awards programmes.
Haven’s 500-acre Hafan Y Mor holiday park in Gwynedd has been shortlisted for a prestigious sustainability award.
The park has been named in the Bro a Byd (Environmental Sustainability) plus the Best Self-Catering categories, as part of the National Tourism Awards for Wales announced in Llandudno on 27 March – one of 48 finalists on the night.
The park has installed hundreds of solar panels, uses fully electric vehicles, and offers EV charging for guests.
In addition, the park has extensive solar lighting and has encouraged wildlife by installing reptile fencing (used to contain and redirect newts, snakes etc) and a bat hotel.
The park’s General Manager, Denise Bossons, said: “We’re absolutely delighted. We’ve worked very hard over the last three years and Haven have put a lot of investment in.”
Meanwhile, Hoburne has received a top award from customer review platform Feefo after three years of Gold Standard feedback from holidaymakers.
While it was named as a recipient of the Feefo 2025 Platinum Trusted Service Award, Hoburne also gained recognition from VisitEngland with all of its parks winning ratings of between 85% and 94%.
The Feefo awards comes off the back of more than 26,000 public reviews on Feefo, with an average of 4.6 out of 5.
Operations Director Sandra Mueller said: “Awards are always great to receive, but especially when they come as a direct result of what our visitors are saying about us.”
Feefo’s CEO, Tony Wheble, added: “During these economically challenging times, it's inspiring to see companies like Hoburne consistently going above and beyond for their customers.”
