The Great Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show in Harrogate will not take place in 2025, it has been announced.
The show was due to take place in September, and is a key event for the north of England, serving as a trade and consumer showcase for the leisure vehicle and holiday caravan industry. Organisers have blamed "difficult market conditions" for the cancellation.
In a statement on social media, HERCMA, said: "This year’s event is being replaced by co-ordinated trade exhibitions at each HERCMA members facilities in East Yorkshire from Tuesday 9th September 2025 to Thursday 11th September 2025. This decision has been taken in response to the economic environment in the UK as well as the particular financial challenges currently being faced by manufacturers within the leisure sector.
"HERCMA is very proud of the contribution that it has made to our industry over many years, and it is important that we continue to evolve to ensure that we meet the changing needs of the industry, for parks, dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, and consumers alike. The shows over the last two years, since moving to a new home in Harrogate, have welcomed over 36,000 trade and public through the gates for us to showcase what our industry has to offer. In addition to that we have raised £140,000 for important Yorkshire Charities (The Yorkshire Children’s Charity and The Yorkshire Air Ambulance) through these events. However, it has become apparent that the current economic climate in which we operate has made the implications of putting on or exhibiting at the show too financially challenging to be able to go ahead this year."
HERCMA said it would give further details of the trade exhibitions over the coming months.
