The Whitford Family have now been in business in the Lancashire town of Burnley for over 100 years – firstly as solid fuel merchants which we still are today. Burnley became the first smokeless zone in the country in the late 1960’s making solid fuel unfashionable and this is where Whitfords Caravan Centre began. The late Mr & Mrs Whitford who were keen caravanners saw a gap in the market for self tow hire of caravans. They then began to provide touring caravan holidays for people throughout the country, from the site which we still occupy today.
