Keeping you informed

Government (DCLG) has published a discussion paper on how rules for residential parks should be made in future.
Published on 30/08/2013

Under provisions in the Mobile Homes Act 2013 there will be specific procedures for making rules and appealing rules, certain rules which will not be permitted and the role local authorities will play in future in respect of park rules.

The new system for park rules will be introduced by secondary legislation and it is intended for this to be in force towards the end of 2013. Park operators will have 12 months from this date to make replacement rules in line with the new procedures.

DCLG are seeking views on the proposals consultation and responses should be sent to parkhomes@communities.gsi.gov.uk by Friday 11 October. The NCC will be making a full response to the proposals and would be very pleased to receive comments and views for inclusion in this response. We would also be pleased to receive a copy of your response. Please email info@thencc.org.uk and mark your email Park Rules Response.
